In February 1981, the little 80-member Highland Park Church of Christ began a ministry to assist Cambodian refugees under the direction of pastor Pat Brooks. Pat Brooks and his wife, Kathleen, assist refugees by offer friendship, food, clothing, transportation, job search, and teaching the English language.
